We can source, transport, import, custom clear, title and deliver your vehicle in 48 States (Unfortunately no CA or HI titles are available at this time) From start to finish we handle it all. There is no need for you to go crazy trying to deal with Foreign Shipping Companies, Brokers, Non US Banks, Freight Forwarders, Customs Officials, DMV paperwork, etc.
Thanks to a network of knowledgeable on-site partners such as individual car enthusiasts, local dealerships and sourcing agents we are able to locate, purchase and import the vehicle of your dreams. We currently have partners in Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, and in The Netherlands. Onsite Japan and Hungary agents will soon be added.
Not all non-domestic market vehicles are importable. We do specialize in 25+ y.o. classic cars, trucks, special service vehicles and motorcycles only.
At this time all motor vehicles up to Model Year 2000 are eligible for import in the USA under the 25-year-old NHTSA Exemption import law.
We do not import anything younger that 25 years, although if you want we can purchase it and store it until the vehicle turns 25 years old and then import it for you.

What Cars are legal to import now?
All motor vehicles that are over 25 years old by month/year. Simply put if a car was manufactured or registered no later than today’s date in 1999, it would now be over 25 years old and legal to be imported into the US.
What is the youngest Model Year car I can import today?
In 2025 the Model Year 2000 is the youngest model year that you can legally import into the US today using the 25 y.o classic vehicle exemption.
Can you import 25-year old cars into California?
Unfortunately regulations in California are some of the strictest. To be able to register car in California you will have to bring a car to compliance with safety and environment requirements (CARB). As far as we know it is possible, but the cost of bringing the vehicle into compliance with modifications and testing sessions can range from $ 5,500 to over $10,000 depending on vehicle model and condition, making the proposition of owning these cars in CA way less interesting. Furthermore from MY 1996 all cars are required to have OBD II, which adds more cost and complexity to bringing the vehicle into compliance.
I found a fantastic car that is not 25 y.o. quite yet. Can you store it and import it for me?
Yes. Although we do not import anything younger that 25 years, we can purchase it for you and store it securely at an additional cost until the vehicle turns 25. Once it turns 25 y.o. we will then proceed to import it into the US for you. Although technically feasible, we usually suggest not to purchase vehicles that are more than a year away from becoming eligible.
Can you import me a car that is less that 25-year old into the US?
Trying to import into the United States cars that are less than 25 y.o is a process that is at best described to very near to impossible. There are Companies that do offer this service but the time and financial resources necessary to accomplish this task go beyond the scope of our Company.
Do you offer Pre-Purchase inspections?
Yes. We can offer you a personalized pre-purchase inspection Whether the car you are interested in is in Italy, Switzerland, France, Belgium or in the Netherlands we can take care of it for you. Don’t hesitate to let us know how we can be of assistance.
What type of payments do your offer?
For your convenience, we have several different payment methods:
Bank Wire Transfer
Payments via wire transfer or ACH reduce delays in the purchase process. Please email us at info@xpecialmotors.com to obtain our bank information should you choose to go this route.
Credit Cards
If you prefer to pay via credit card, we do accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Payments can be made by Credit Card up to $10,000 (3% Fees might apply). Just give us a call or fax us your card information and we will have it processed immediately.
PayPal
If you prefer to pay via PayPal, we do accept PayPal transactions up to $3,000. Our PayPal address is info@xpecialmotors.com

Do you offer in-house financing or payment plans?
At this moment we do not offer in-house financing. however, we have partnered with independent Banks and credit companies that offer financing for rare, classic, custom and specialty cars. Do not hesitate to contact us to learn more about your options.
Do your vehicles come with a warranty?
Unfortunately, due to the age, nature and exclusivity of these vehicles there is no warranty or returns on any of our vehicles. Please understand that all the vehicles that we import are 25 years old or more. Because of this reason, we strongly suggest and invite to ask as many questions as you’d like and/or fully inspect the vehicle before purchase. Please do not have unreasonable expectations.

What type of shipping do you offer?
We do offer both RO/RO (Roll On-Roll Off) and container shipping. Depending on what car needs to be transported, its location, condition and value and what your preference is we will always arrange a customized optimal solution for your vehicle.
Will my vehicle be safe during transport?
RO/RO and container shipping are the safest mode of sea transport. Car manufacturers, car collectors all over the world use these two methods o a regular basis.
Generally, most people have no problems with items being stolen or damaged whilst shipping via RO/RO or container.
The risk of theft, usually at the points of loading and unloading, is minimal or nonexistent. We recommend purchasing Marine Insurance to cover your goods during transit.
Are all these cars legal to be titled, registered and driven in the US?
Yes. All our cars are imported legally and lawfully under the 25-year-old NHTSA Exemption import law. They all have their proper Customs Clearance Forms as well as EPA and DOT clearances paperwork for you to apply for a US title directly at your local DMV office. You will be able to apply for a title and registration in all 49 States (California is excluded). Please note that some Stets and/or Counties, Cities and Municipalities might have additional limitations for registering Non-US vehicles. please check with your local Governments before making any assumptions.
